Sounds of silence only mean it well

Through the darkest clouds of midnight,
This golden ray of a bright promise shone on me
When life is holding me a bit too tight,
Every speck of joy seems to me like a sea.

Reflections of the promise shone in my smile.
The promise of hope that the darkest storms
Are followed by the brightest sunshine
That fades with the silvery gleam of a peaceful moonshine.

After a jumpy life of fun and grins,
The sound of silence slayed my soul
The only sign of life in me was my wince
But I managed to live it well on the whole.

A new beginning of silence is now born from
The ashes of my burnt, noisy past
So I’ll walk forward and all the way hum
Joyous songs of recovery till I reach my last.
