Looking Forward

Just like a rose among the thorns
Amidst my troubles, I smile
A smile of joy and assurance
And the door of freedom is away by just a mile

In this long road of rocks and stones
All I could ever hear was my own groans
Of pain, suffering and a strange silence
That happens when the world is ignorant of your problems

I was shattered, broken and had to

Walk on the remains of my own dreams
Now with the pain in the past, I look to something new
For new things to happen, by all means

Every end has a new beginning, I look forth
To new laughter and new sorrows
Yet for the first time I look forward
Feeling stronger, much stronger than before
